The Tom Euler Band will perform the first concert of the 2018-2019 Rhythm by the River series, which is scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary of Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Tom Euler Band is a progressive blues/rock band from Virginia that is known for its high-energy and thoughtfully-written songs, according to a release from the church. Often called the “young man with an old soul,” Euler takes influence from such guitarists as J.P. Soars, Luther Allison, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Bonamassa, B.B. King and others from all genres of music.
Euler is a 2016 International Blues Challenge Finalist and was winner of the 2017 “Musician of the Year for the United States and Canada” Josie Music Award.
