Evergreen Development Company has announced plans for a 60,000-square-foot addition to Fox Mill Centre in Gloucester.
Bob Kubicki, formerly of Gloucester and now residing in Illinois, is the principal of Evergreen. Kubicki said in a Jan. 28 telephone interview that the addition will include a TJ Maxx apparel store, which will take up 22,000 square feet; a Petco pet store, occupying 12,500 square feet, and Rack Room Shoes, which will lease 6,000 square feet.
Construction should begin later this year, Kubicki said, and those stores are expected to open in the spring of 2017.
Additional tenants will be announced soon, said Paula English, director of communications for Cushman & Wakefield/Thalmimer, which represents Evergreen. The center currently offers spaces from 1,400 to 4,900 square feet of retail space that also will be delivered next spring, English said.
Kubicki said the latest addition will be located just south of the Walmart and backs onto the area near a golf course.
