TIMOTHY S. MOTLEY

Timothy S. Motley of Gloucester County, age 63, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 30, 2026. A native of Hayes, he graduated from Gloucester High School. Tim was a man who found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. He loved riding his Harley, feeling the freedom of the open road, and spent countless hours working outdoors, where he was most at peace. Whether he was fixing, building, or simply enjoying the fresh air, he took pride in hard work and a life well lived. He was known for his calm and steady outlook on life and the quiet wisdom he shared with others. Tim had a way of putting things into perspective, often reminding those around him that each day was a gift not to be taken for granted, and that you never truly know what someone else may be carrying—so to lead with patience, humility, and kindness. His strength, warmth, and gentle guidance brought comfort and reassurance to those around him.
Timothy’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, in every ride down an open road, and in every moment where kindness and understanding are needed most. Father, Kyle Preston Motley Sr., and his brother, K. Preston Motley Jr., preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Motley; children, Lauren Eckstrom (Daniel) and Scott Motley; grandchildren, Baron Lane Motley, Landon, Liam, and Violet Eckstrom; mother, Greta Barbara Motley; sisters, Angela Healy (Robert), Lisa Poulos (Wayne), and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 6-7 p.m. Interment was private.
