Tidewater Home Funding opens branch in Gloucester Court House

Tidewater Home Funding, LLC, opened a branch in Gloucester Court House in mid-September.

Connie M. McKee of North is branch manager of the new office, which is located in the former Gloucester County Office Building #3 on Main Street that is being converted into a series of professional offices and retail shops.

McKee, who is also a senior mortgage consultant, is assisted by David Forman of York County, a senior loan officer. While McKee works full-time from the Gloucester office, Forman also works at the company’s Newport News office.

Forman said the local office is a full-service correspondent, meaning they deal directly with a wide range of major financial institutions in handling mortgages.

The average home mortgage is for 30 years, McKee said, but some mortgages are set up for as few as 10 years. There is no penalty to pay off a mortgage early, she said. Tidewater Home staff handles all aspects of a loan, she said, and are not mortgage brokers. The company is licensed to...
