Alexis Powell and Sean Powell II

Alexis and Sean Powell II are co-owners of the Nurtury which is located on 6619 Main Street in Gloucester.

The Nurtury, established in 2012, is a modern apothecary where nature, science, spirituality and magic meet to offer natural healing and wellness solutions to all who enter, they said.

The siblings have developed patience and persistence over the years to establish trust and a five-star reputation. They have also had to learn how to be adaptable, especially over the last few months.

They have also had to balance shop responsibilities with writing time, the triumph being authoring two books for sale at the Nurtury.

Their business background includes research, common sense and trial-and-error. They built the Nurtury with their mother, Loree Powell.
