The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society’s animal welfare programs and services touched the lives of more than 8,000 pets in 2023. The pets who count on GMHS to be their voice and save their lives also count on the generosity of friends and supporters.

Dumbledore was found as a stray in our community in February. After being transferred into the care of the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, we discovered he was suffering from a torn CCL (Canine Cruciate Ligament). Despite his condition, four-year-old Dumbledore was an amazingly affectionate dog, with a sweet disposition, who longed to find a family to call his own.
