The good cooks of Olive Branch compile a cookbook

“It was a project that really began in 2011,” explained Helen Herring. “Our minister had suggested we do a cookbook so we asked the membership to please submit their recipes. We didn’t get enough response so the project was sort of put on the shelf.”

Come 2015, the subject of cookbook arose again at Olive Branch United Methodist Church, Harcum. “This time getting recipes was no problem,” Helen said. “Olive Branch” made its debut at the church bazaar held on May 2, in a record time for collecting recipes, classifying, proofreading and all the other tasks necessary before shipping it off to the publisher.

“We just rocked and rolled with what Helen had begun in 2011. That’s what made this all possible so quickly,” said Janet Rilee who served as the overseer and official photographer. “All of the other girls on the committee have jobs.
