Alice Coates and Stanley Langford were recently recognized for their service to the Middle Peninsula-Northern Neck Community Services Board. Coates, representative from Lancaster County, is stepping down after service a total of 18 years (six, three-year terms), while Langford, representative from Essex County on the board of directors, is stepping down after nine years (three, three-year terms). “Each of these board members has been an advocate for the services provided by the CSB and, as a board member, has not hesitated to make difficult decisions,” CSB executive director Linda Hodges said. The CSB was founded in 1974 and provides a continuum of services for individuals diagnosed with a mental health disorder, substance use disorder and developmental disability throughout the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck.
