Quickstart Tennis of Central Virginia, Inc., is offering a free tennis training session next month in Mathews for PE teachers, tennis players, tennis enthusiasts and community members. The training will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, Jan. 26, 2026, in the Mathews Elementary School gymnasium. The program is designed to help people get children moving in PE class, teach kid-sized tennis and life skills, run an afterschool or parks and rec program, help combat childhood obesity, and promote a lifelong physical activity.
