Swords Marine relocates from Gloucester to Cobbs Creek

Swords Marine Service recently relocated its business from Gloucester to the former Tucker Marine, on Buckley Hall Road, Cobbs Creek.

Owner Bob Swords said the new location includes a large yard to store boats awaiting repair, a three-bay service building and a separate building that houses a showroom, parts department and administrative offices.

Swords said the move not only provides a more central location to his many Gloucester and Mathews customers, but also will now offer improved service with the addition to his staff of Dale Callis of Mathews. Callis previously worked for Tucker Marine and has about 40 years’ marine repair experience.

 

Swords, who also has about 40 years’ boat repair experience, said that Swords Marine offers all types of general repairs for up to 40-foot-long boats. Repairs are made at their shop or at customers’ locations through their mobile service.
