Sunshine Thrift opens shop in Saluda

The owners of the new Sunshine Thrift in Saluda surely have a sunny disposition these days since business has been very good.

Sunshine Thrift, located on General Puller Highway across from the Middlesex County courthouse, opened for business Nov. 29. The store’s winter hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday, with additional store hours planned during the spring and summer.

Lezlie Coppola of Gloucester owns the business with her friend, Carolyn Bruffy of Middlesex. Both women previously enjoyed going to yard sales in search of collectables.

Now, their shop is a sales outlet for some of their finds—plus many others they have acquired for sale. They do not accept consignments.
