A new nail salon, Sunset Nail Bar, has opened in Hayes off Route 17. Owner Alyssa Elliott (above) was licensed in March and previously worked as a nail tech in Williamsburg. Ultimately, though, she wanted to open her own salon in her hometown. “The way things were playing out, it just made more sense to open one here,” she said. Though specialized in Gel-x, Elliott enjoys all nail art her clients bring to her. “I just love art, so anything that’s got art, I’m going to love it,” she said.
