New Beginnings Care Services LLC is now offering non-medical home care services to residents in Mathews County and surrounding areas, including Gloucester and Middlesex.

Owned and operated by Mathews native Vanessa Forrest, the company provides support to children, adults and seniors who may need assistance with daily living activities, personal care, companionship, respite care and cognitive support, including care for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

The business focuses on helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes while also supporting families in need of reliable care, said Forrest.

New Beginnings is built on nearly 10 years of hands-on caregiving experience, said Forrest. A graduate of the nurse’s aide program at Mathews High School, she has worked as a nursing assistant for 10 years, with a concentration for five years as a behavioral technician. Her experience was gained at a local group home for adults with cognitive challenges, a local assisted living facility, a regional hospital for children with behavioral issues, and various home health agencies.

Now Forrest has decided to go into business for herself and is accepting private pay clients. She offers free consultations to discuss individualized care options.
