You’ll never know what you’ll see, like this great blue heron and some wood ducks, when you take part in the Friends of Dragon Run guided summer paddles. FODR is dedicated to preserving the Dragon Run, which flows through the Middle Peninsula. They host paddle trips to educate the public and to raise funds to protect land along the Dragon Run. Paddle trips are available July 12-29. Information and registration is available on FODR’s website: Dragonrun.org. These trips are for persons 18 and older. A $60 donation is requested. Each three-hour kayak trip is led by a nature guide who describes the Dragon Run and its unique ecological significance. No prior paddle experience is required. All of the equipment needed is provided.
