Still cooking!

At the age of 94, Eugene Ripley of Onemo, is still making pear preserves, having this year turned 15 pounds of pears into 18 jars of preserves. His canning career began in 2003 following the death of his wife Linda. When he discovered his daughter would not be making any pear preserves, he took on the project himself and has made it an annual event.
