Steamboat Era Museum’s Holiday Marketplace returns Friday after Thanksgiving

The Steamboat Era Museum, located at 156 King Carter Drive in Irvington, will hold its eighth annual Holiday Marketplace beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Attendees will have an opportunity to buy unique gifts for family and friends while also supporting the museum.The 2021 Marketplace will have extended hours. Opening weekend for the Marketplace is Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26-28 (10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday). It will continue the following three weekends in December from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.

Artisans will offer jewelry, books, cards, ceramics, purses, baskets and more. Participants include Blue Nose Creative Co. with quilts and sewn items, Chesapeake Press with Christmas cards, Wooden Hook with knitted hats and scarves, The Passage with earrings and purses, and Mac Craft Wood with tasting spoons.
