Registration underway for GYFCL
Registration for the fall season of the Gloucester Youth Football and Cheerleading League is now open.
Registration is $160 for football, cheer and the all-girls’ flag team (ages 5-14), with a 10 percent military discount (military discount code is THANKYOU). After July 8, the price goes up to $175.

PRLGA winners named
Winners of the Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association’s Fairways and Putts contest, held last Thursday at the Hartfield course, were:
First flight—Nina Carter (first place, 30); Ellen McGowan (second place, 27) and Oris D’amil (third place, 25).
Second flight—Gloria Matthews (first place, 40); Chong Hudgins (second place, 37) and Chrystal Welch (third place, 25).
Third flight—Marny Richardson (first place, 41); Karen Gorin (second place, 22) and Donna Lange (third place, 17).
