The managing member for Southern Starters LLC, Suzanne Cook has been in the business of building both modular and stick-built homes for 18 years. She also does renovations, including kitchens and baths.

Cook said from the start of her business, she’s been in a male-dominated environment, but that she had always found support from other builders and subcontractors.

She has a background working in both banking and construction, and she has a four-year degree in business.
