Sit & Craft to be held at Whitcomb Lodge

Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is offering Sit & Craft at Beaverdam Park’s Whitcomb Lodge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9 (and every second Wednesday of the month). A six-foot table, chair, electricity and access to a refrigerator, microwave and restrooms are included. Pack a lunch, pack your current project and come by for a day of friends and fun. The fee is $15 and Friday is the deadline to register.

HUG A TREE: Gloucester PRT is sponsoring a “Hug A Tree and Survive” free program on Monday, June 14 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Whitcomb Lodge. This program teaches 7-11 year-olds how to survive if they become lost in the woods. Monday is the deadline to register.

BEAVERDAM PARK: New this year, Beaverdam Park will host a number of night activities. Pre-registration is required. One Friday night a month, the park will be open late for evening/night activities. On June 11, the park will offer night fishing from 4 p.m. to midnight. The cost is $5 per person. ...
