Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores, Inc., has opened its newest Virginia Sears Hometown Store inside LOVET Furniture located in the Hayes Plaza Shopping Center on Route 17.

The Hayes location marks the sixth opening of a new Sears Hometown Store this year and the sixth opening of a new store across all Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores formats, a release stated. A Sears store that had been located at Gloucester Court House closed last year.

Unlike most retail concepts, Sears Hometown Stores combine the value, selection and services associated with larger retail stores but are owned and operated by a member of the local community, according to the release.
