Sean Gwynn O’Sullivan, 47, of Colonial Beach, Va., died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1967 at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

Sean was a graduate of Old Dominion University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management. He worked for the Federal Government at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Va.

He enjoyed working with his church and was very involved with children’s ministries through AWANA. He especially enjoyed spending quality time with his two daughters.  

He is survived by his wife, Cassie Swope O’Sullivan; two children, Mary Carol and Anna Gwynn; his parents, James Gwynn and Sue Carol (Halford) O’Sullivan; two sisters, Sheila Lynn O’Sullivan and Sheryl Patricia Velasquez (Walter); three nieces, Skye, Amber, Linda, and nephew, Antonio.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1 at Tabernacle Baptist Church at 10640 Kings Hwy., King George, Va. 22485 with the Rev. Sherman E. Davis conducting the service.  

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church and the AWANA program.
