Seafood Festival proceeds go to Mathews first responders

The first Sea Farms Mathews Seafood Festival, held Aug. 17 at Williams Wharf, raised $2,000 for each of three designated first responder recipients: Mathews Sheriff’s Office, Mathews Volunteer Fire Department and Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad.

 Robert Martin of the Sea Farms Seafood Shack has been making the presentations, saying, “The dust has long settled, all the bills have been paid, and the results are in.” He thanked volunteers and corporate sponsors Ambrose Disposal Service, Chesapeake Bank, Faulkner’s Lawn Care, Haynes HVAC Electrical Inc., Clint Zerbe Construction Inc., M&M Building Supply, Coastwise Designs, Noble Pest Control, Inc., County Auto Brokers, Phillips Energy Inc., Faulkner and Son Inc., Ann & Graham Jones Jr., and Safe Harbor Marine Services Inc.
