School kit donations

Leslie Jingluski, outreach coordinator for the Avalon Center, is shown here (above) with 26 school kits donated to the organization by the Exchange Club of Gloucester-Mathews. The backpacks are filled with school supplies to be used by the children of clients served by the regional organization that provides shelter, counseling, advocacy and education to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. “We are happy to help support this organization,” said Exchange Club president Nancy Deptola. Below, club secretary Tricia Bynum (at right) presents 26 school kits to Mathews Elementary School principal Lee Ann Bray.
