School briefs

Frank Robert Rose has been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa at Hampden-Sydney College where he is majoring in psychology. Phi Beta Kappa recognizes the highest academic achievement, moral character, responsible citizenship and broad intellectual curiosity. A Patrick Henry Scholar, Rose plays varsity lacrosse, serves as an admissions office tour guide, and is a member of the Rugby Club and Venture Club at Hampden-Sydney. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Vincent Rose of Gloucester.

Samantha Drake has been inducted into Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society at Longwood University where she is a junior. Phi Kappa Phi junior initiates are required to be in the top 7½ percent of their class. Drake is the daughter of Pattie Anne and David Drake of Gloucester.
