Anna Elizabeth Bowden has been awarded the Michael Tebbs Nunn ’86 Fine Arts Scholarship at Christchurch School. The scholarship is awarded to a rising senior who has demonstrated a spirit of creativity and excellence in the field of fine arts. Bowden is a Headmaster’s List student at Christchurch and was the MVP on this year’s Seahorse swim team. She is the daughter of Ash and Ronda Bowden of Gloucester.
Two members of the Gloucester High School class of 2016 will be honored Sunday at the First United Baptist Church, White Marsh, during the church’s Youth Sunday program. Ellis Finney and Mona Flowers will each receive the First United Baptist Church Scholarship Ministry Award. Finney was inducted into the National Honor Society last year at GHS and has also been a member of the varsity soccer team for three years. He will attend James Madison University. Flowers is a member of the Dubois Honor Society. She will attend Rappahannock Community College.
Crystal Danielle Washington-Crawford received a doctor of pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia Campus, during commencement ceremonies May 27. Washington-Crawford also holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in human science from Liberty University. She is the daughter of Marvin Washington and Cadella Jones-Forrest of Gloucester.
Amber Burruss of Moon, Sean Rhodes of Cobbs Creek, Kathryn McGee of Gloucester Point, and Tyler Rousselle of Hayes, were named to the spring semester dean’s list at James Madison University. The recognition requires a 3.5 or higher grade point average.
Rachel Ann Boles of Mathews, Conor Duffy of Gloucester Point, and Logan Hayden George and Kayla Jane McCuistion of Gloucester, were named to the spring semester dean’s list at the College of William and Mary. The recognition requires a 3.6 or higher quality point average.
