School board approves personnel actions

Linda Ingleson of Saluda was appointed as a regional autism teacher at Petsworth Elementary, effective March 3, by the Gloucester County School Board during its March 9 meeting.

In appointments for the 2021-2022 school year, Jessica Lee of Gloucester, was appointed as a fifth grade teacher at Botetourt Elementary and Dawn Merkle of Norfolk, was appointed as a social studies teacher at Gloucester High School.

In addition, retirement was approved for support services employee Lisa Rilee, effective May 1. Retirement was also approved for Abingdon Elementary music teacher Melanie McComb and support services employees Priscilla Myers and Deborah Farmer, all effective July 1.
