Several members of the Gloucester High School Class of 2017 received college scholarships during Senior Scholarship Night held on May 31 at the school. Scholarships were presented as follows: Turnley and Betty Todd Educational Foundation—$1,500 each to Elizabeth Simmons and Grayson Womble; Peasley Middle School—$500 each to James Lasseigne and Abagail Wilton; Abingdon Elementary PTA in memory of Stephanie Reynolds—$250 to Elizabeth Simmons; Abingdon Episcopal Church Men’s Club—$2,000 to Caroline Kersey and $500 each to Vivian Austin and Nealcyn Watkins; Abingdon Ruritan Club—$4,000 to Sydney Cook and $2,000 to Nicole Groen; Abingdon Woman’s Club—$1,000 to Elizabeth Simmons; American Red Cross—$750 to Samantha Richardson and $250 to Sara Eddy;  Arena Stone Memorial—$5,000 to Abagail Wilton;  Bethel Elementary—$2,000 to Brianna Miller;  Bill Forrest and John Raynes Memorial—$2,000 to Faith Hogge; ...
