Rose K. Lohr, 99, of Cobbs Creek, Virginia, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at Gloucester House Assisted Living in Gloucester, Virginia.

She was born Oct. 12, 1917 in Steelton, Pennsylvania.

She was a member of Church of the Visitation Roman Catholic Church in Topping.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frank C. Lohr Jr. 

She is survived by her son, Frank C. Lohr III and his wife Gerrie of Cobbs Creek. Rose has three grandchildren, Robert D. Lohr of Boston, Massachusetts, Laurie Blankenship (Kevin) of Glen Allen, Virginia, and J. Matthew Lohr (Susan), also of Glen Allen. Rose has five great-grandsons, William, Henry, Noah, Ben and Luke who were close to her heart.

A memorial service will be held at Church of the Visitation on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. She will be interred at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at a later date.
