RoboDukes earn ticket to VEX World Championships

The Gloucester High School VEX robotics teams had another successful outing last weekend, with the RoboDukes earning a return trip to the World Championships and the RoboDukes2 taking a top award during the Virginia State VEX Robotics Competition at Meadow Event Park in Doswell.

The RoboDukes went 3-2 and placed 12th overall to finish as a state tournament finalist and earn a bid to the VEX Robotics World Championships scheduled for April 15-18 in Lexington, Ky. 

The RoboDukes2 went 2-3 and placed 31st. The team was selected to receive a Promote Award, which is presented to a competition school, club or team that has created and submitted an outstanding VEX Robotics promotional video. The video promotes the team in the community in order to recruit new students, mentors and support.
