Robin Hagelberger Daugherty of Saluda, Virginia, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, April 3, 2026.

Robin shared 53 years with her tender, loving husband, William “Bill” Daugherty.

Robin was born in 1955 to the late Charles and Ethel Hagelberger, and was a graduate of Menchville High School. She brightened the mornings of countless community members for over 30 years, as a receptionist at the Riverside Wellness and Fitness Center in Gloucester. Robin made it her mission in life to bring kindness and smiles to the faces of anyone she encountered, and she devotedly instilled in others to do the same.

The passion and dedication of her life was to her family, and her greatest thrill was to surround herself with them and help them be good human beings. She is survived by her children, Jason Daugherty, Ashley Lawrence, and Allison Records; sister, Kim Spangenberg; brother, Steven Hagelberger, and grandchildren, Riley and Cameron Records, Cason and Jacob Lawrence, and William Daugherty. We will forever miss her homemade strawberry shortcake with freshly whipped cream, her Ants Marching cake, her fascination with mother nature and celestial bodies, and more than anything, her long-lasting hugs.
