Mathews Main Street members Willis Ward, Mary Chapman and Emily Allen, from left, took a break from planning for Riverball 2018 to try out the tandem bike that will be raffled off at the event, which will be held beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, at the White Dog Bistro on Church Street in Mathews. The theme of this year’s Riverball is “A Great Gatsby Evening” with the goal for all in attendance to have “A Roaring Good Time.” Tickets are $75 per person and include drinks, dinner and dancing to the music of “The Doctors’ of Jazz,” a University of Richmond group of professors.
