Rita Stallings Savage, age 99, formerly of Williamsburg, died peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2022, in Henrico, Va. She is remembered by friends and family as one of the “sweetest people.” Rita loved traveling, playing cards, bingo, bowling, puzzles, crocheting hats and blankets for hospitals to give to newborns. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, her husband, Joseph S. Savage Jr., and a son, Joseph S. Savage III. She is survived by her children, Dolores Stewart (Gerald), Rob Savage (Cathy), and Pamela Greer; grandchildren, Michele Evans (Norwood), Michael Stewart (Beth), Charles Stewart (Katie), Jonathan Stewart, and Scott Savage (Jessica), and seven great-grandchildren. Services to be held on July 14 at 1 p.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive, Bon Air, Va. 23235.
