Gary Wayne Lankey, age 53, of Gloucester, died on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home. Gary was born on February 18, 1973 to Norman Lankey and Edith McPherson. He was a Steelers fan, loved Deadpool and Transformers. He enjoyed playing video games and loved his mother’s banana bread and a good burger and fries. He was the most honest, generous and kind person and will be dearly missed. Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Edith McPherson, and his two sons, Christopher Lankey and Brian Lankey. Gary is survived by his wife, Patricia Lankey; his girlfriend, Melissa Plyler; his daughter, Sarah Lankey; his son, Joshua Belangia, and his granddaughter. He is also survived by his father, Norman Lankey; stepfather, James McPherson; his siblings, Sheila Jones, Michelle Bishop, Timothy Abbott, and Amy Jill Pazur; grandparents, Norma and Robert Cole; aunt, Juanita Flemming, and cousins, Laura Watkins, Travis Flemming and Robert West; niece, Elizabeth Bishop; nephew, William Blanchard; great-nephew, Liam Bishop; best friends, Shane and Casi Kubishta; his faithful canine companion, Loki.
