Rice attempts to debunk several rumors

Robin Rice addressed the public during the Gloucester County School Board’s Tuesday meeting at the T.C. Walker Education Center to clarify a number of rumors she’s been made aware of through email, phone calls and from comments made by Gloucester residents.
The first topic Rice covered was that of an assignment survey that was presented to Gloucester residents in a manner that suggested it came from Gloucester County Public Schools. She said the assignment was a preferred pronoun survey that was shared via social media and was then mailed to residents.
Rice said that after investigation no proof was found that it came from GCPS. She did find similar images that had been shared online and through news media in school districts in Texas and Utah. She said if this survey was assigned to Gloucester students, the board would like to be notified but at this time there has been no proof that it was.
