Three fish catches made in late September earned citations for residents from the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament.
Micheal Jones of Hayes, caught a 37-pound, 3-ounce golden tilefish on Sept. 19 in Norfolk Canyon;Glenn Timberlake of Port Haywood, caught and released a 49.5-inch red drum on Sept. 29 in Chesapeake Bay; and,William Drummond of Gloucester, caught a 14-pound, 3-ounce sheepshead on Sept. 19 in Mobjack Bay.The citations were reported in the Oct. 8 vasaltwaterjournal.com....
