It must be spring. The ospreys are back and the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum has opened for the season, with new displays inside and outside and a refreshed gift shop.
The museum, at 504 Main Street, Reedville, is open Thursdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and veterans, and free for children under 17 and active duty military.
People are also encouraged to look for the museum tent with information and merchandise at several upcoming events, including the Heathsville Farmers’ Market/Earth Day Festival, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, and the Northern Neck Sail and Power Squadron’s boat show, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. the following Saturday, April 26 at Chesapeake Commons, Kilmarnock.
Concert fundraiser
In a related matter, the museum will host the musical duo of Janie Meneely and Rob Van Sante from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, May 10.
