The Gloucester Branch of the NAACP has announced the recipients of its 2026 Freedom Fund Awards, which will be presented during the organization’s annual banquet and fundraiser at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at the Fine Arts Museum of Gloucester. This year’s honorees are Marion Randall, recipient of the Irene Morgan Freedom Fighter Award; Pamela Garner, recipient of the T.C. Walker Trailblazer Award; Donna Osborne, recipient of the Woodville Legacy Award; and Velma Benns, recipient of the G. Nelson Carter Sr. Leadership Award. The awards recognize individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the community through leadership, advocacy, innovation, community service, and the preservation of African American history, a release stated. The evening’s keynote speaker will be retired Circuit Court Judge Johnny E.
