Recipes for baked delights

SUGAR COOKIES

2¾ c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1½ c. butter
1½ c. sugar
1 egg

Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda together in a small bowl, set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla. Once combined, slowly blend in dry ingredients. Separate dough into Tbs.-sized balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Place on center rack of oven for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Let the cookies set for 2 minutes before removing to cool on a wire rack.
  EASY COCONUT PIE

1 c. sugar
2 Tbs. flour
2 eggs
½ stick of margarine, melted
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. grated coconut

Mix and blend well. Pour into a 9-inch unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350°F. for 45 minutes.

DEEP DISH APPLE PIE

9-inch one crust
1 c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
½ c. flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. salt
4 c. thinly sliced, pared apples
2 Tbs. butter or margarine, cut into pieces...
