Rappahannock Community College’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning will offer the course, “Memoir Writing for Beginners,” March 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 1-3 p.m. at RCC’s Kilmarnock Center.
Students will read and discuss short excerpts from bestselling memoirs, learn how to make their writing more engaging and interesting, and participate in guided exercises to help them craft memories into compelling stories.
The course will be taught by Ann Eichenmuller, an educator, journalist and author of “The Writing Rx” and four nautical mystery novels. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s in Humanities and is a recipient of the Washington Post Agnes Meyer Award for Excellence in Education.
Advance registration, with a tuition payment of $45, is required. RW-C residents receive a 50 percent discount; Richmond County residents can attend at no charge. Blue Ridge Bank Golden Advantage members receive a 15 percent discount.
