Rappahannock Com- munity College is joining institutions across the country in recognizing April as Community College Month. Many community colleges, including RCC, are known for providing affordable education and workforce training opportunities.
Community colleges serve as a gateway to higher education and career success, offering students flexible learning opportunities, hands-on training and strong community resources and connections.
At RCC, students of all ages and backgrounds can gain the skills and knowledge necessary to advance their careers and improve their lives.
“Community colleges are the backbone of higher education, providing accessible and affordable pathways to success,” said RCC President Dr. Shannon Kennedy. “At RCC, we are proud to empower our students with the tools they need to achieve their goals, whether that means earning a degree, transferring to a four-year institution or gaining workforce credentials.
RCC supports students through scholarships and financial aid, career services, and partnerships with local businesses and four-year institutions.
With programs designed to meet the needs of both students and employers, RCC is helping to build a stronger workforce in the region.
As part of Community College Month, RCC is encouraging prospective students and community members to explore its campuses, attend information sessions to learn about the many educational and career opportunities available.
