Ralph W. Johnson of Gloucester Point, died on Nov. 8, 2018, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Ralph spent his entire career as an educator, striving for a better education for everyone. He was a member of Abingdon Episcopal Church and the Auxiliary Coast Guard.  

Parents John O. and Bernice Roy Johnson preceded him in death. Ralph is survived by his wife, Judith P. Johnson; three daughters, Heather R. Shipp (Chris), Whitney R. Kidd (Bill) and L. Carter Johnson (Brian); and four grandchildren, Estelle Shipp, Kade Shipp, Amelia Kidd, and Helen Kidd.

A service of remembrance, conducted by the Rev. Sven vanBaars, will be at held 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018, in Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, from 5-6 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
