RaceWay opens at Gloucester Point

RaceWay opened a new store Tuesday on Route 17 at Camp Okee Drive, Gloucester Point. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Tuesday morning and the store’s first full day in business was scheduled for Wednesday.

RaceWay is a low-cost fuel provider based in Atlanta, Ga., said Karissa Bursch, the company’s communications manager. This is the company’s first store in Gloucester.

The chain is very excited to enter this new market, she said.

RaceWay has a 2,900-square-foot facility here, Bursch said. There are 20 fueling stations that include ethanol-free and diesel fuels, as well as regular-, mid- and premium-grade fuels.

Bursch said RaceWay is “thrilled to welcome Vishwajeet Kumar and his family to the RaceWay team as operators of the new store.” The Kumar family has more than 20 years of experience in the convenience store industry.
