Public input sought on Gloucester Court House plan

A public forum will be held from 4-8 p.m. next Thursday, Oct. 18, about planning for the future of the Gloucester Court House area.

Formal presentations will be made at 5 and 7 p.m., said Jenny Crittenden, executive of the Main Street Preservation Trust, which is collaborating on the plan and public input process with the Gloucester County Planning Department.

"We all look forward to hearing the reaction of citizens to the ideas about the vision of the future for the Court House Village put forward in this draft plan," Crittenden said.

A volunteer steering committee made up of citizen stakeholder representatives has drafted a "sub-area" plan for future land use and infrastructure in the village for the next two decades and beyond, Crittenden said. The committee is working on behalf of MSPT and Gloucester County to create a long-range plan for the future development and preservation of the village and surrounding area, Crittenden said.
