A new private psychiatric and wellness practice is opening in Mathews to serve the mental health needs of adults and children. The Changing Tide, which is the result of a partnership between Drs. William Yetter, Melinda Barker and Heather Rowe, and Debra Moore-Zierow, PMHNP, is a rural extension of Psychiatric Consultants of Hampton Roads.
The Changing Tide is located at 75 Main Street in the Victorian-style house within the Town Center development.
“The need for psychiatric services in this underserved Chesapeake Bay region was the driving force behind this new practice, said Moore-Zierow, a 25-year resident of Mathews and Gloucester, through a press release.
In terms of the staff of The Changing Tide, Yetter is a California native with 30 years of experience as a neuropsychiatrist. He holds a degree from the University of Santiago School of Medicine and did his residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School.
