The Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association hosted its annual golf invitational on June 23 at Piankatank River Golf Club, Hartfield. This year’s theme was “A Flamingo Fling.”

Ninety-two women from the surrounding area participated in this festive event, according to co-chairs Carol Sennott and Julie Whitaker. Winners included:

Overall Gross—Colleen Robertson, Casey Burley, Kim Williams and Nancy Shiffer. Overall Net—Nina Carter, Ellen McGowan, Christi Lewis and Martha Wiggs.

First Flight, 1st Net—Christy Pitts, Nancy Pannell, Vicky Gunn and Lynette Sawyer. 2nd Net—Linda Knight, Mary Beth Huneke, Chris Miles and Pamela James. 3rd Net—Mary Francisco, June Klink, Kelly Lowe and Carole Lloyd. 4th Net—Michele Meanley, Karla Knight, Kay Stout and Suzie Fox.
