The First Settlers Region Porsche Club held a Fun Run on Saturday, Nov. 1. The two-hour jaunt started in West Point and ended in Ware Neck. “Tourmeister” Ed Merry, with 39 Fun Runs to his credit, designed a route through the twistiest and most scenic backroads of King and Queen and Gloucester counties. The Fun Run’s final destination was the home of Rick and Gail Griffin on the Ware River. There were 36 Porsches and 57 drivers and navigators in the event. Once at the Griffins’ home, the club members enjoyed lunch prepared by Nuttall’s Store as well as a beautiful, autumn afternoon to socialize and swap Porsche stories....
