On Thursday, Oct. 15, the women of the Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association and men from various groups which play at the Piankatank River Golf Course, held their annual Memorial Tournament.

“This outing is to honor and remember our golfing friends who are at rest in the final clubhouse,” a release stated.The format was Preferred Drive-One Best Ball Net with 11 mixed teams. Winners were:

First place—Kelly Lowe, Dave Brown, Marny Richardson and Ray Lowe; second place—Ed McNamee, Tom Dorman, Nina Carter and Vicki Carr; third place—Mike McLemore, Dan Stuck, Julie Klink and Chong Hudgins; fourth place—Vicky Gunn, Donna Lange, Gary Richardson and Jim Goforth.
