The Gloucester School Board made several appointments for the 2021-2022 school year during its special meeting on Aug. 23.

Appointed to special education teaching positions were Lisa Greer of Hayes, and Kristin Steele and Morgan Miller, both of Gloucester.

Appointed to support services positions were Shaylin Gibbs, Diane Jenkins, William Skinner, Tina Thomas and Lori Whitley, all of Gloucester; Ashley Johns, Michelle Norman, Sharon Nowell and Kristina Phillips, all of Hayes; Felicia Haase of Gloucester Point; Laura Jenkins of Deltaville; Rachel Musick of Hartfield; and Doris Flood and Elsie Flood, both of Newport News.

The board also accepted resignations from Bethel kindergarten teacher Amber Giampa, effective Sept. 10, and Gloucester High School part-time criminal justice instructor Michael Rice, effective Sept. 1.
