Patricia Lynn Casanave, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, age 67, of Mathews, died Jan. 5, 2019, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital as a result of an accident.

She possessed a green thumb with plants and had a marvelous talent for photography. Patricia had a great love for animals, especially cats. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Gloucester. 

Survivors include her husband, Philip J. Casanave Jr.; children, Jeremy Roush, Mandy Sampson; nine grandchildren; nine step-children; 17 step-grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Camille Roush.

A funeral mass celebrated by the Rev. Jim Cowles was held a 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at St. Therese Catholic Church. Inurnment was private.
