Paddle the length of Beaverdam

Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism will hold a self-guided paddle from one end of the Beaverdam Park Reservoir on Sunday, May 22.
Participants will paddle from the Farys Mill Road entrance to the main entrance at Roaring Springs Road, beginning at 10 a.m. The park will offer rental equipment (kayak, paddle, pfd) for the paddle for $15, or bring your own equipment for $5. Meet at the Roaring Springs Road entrance at 10 with your equipment or 9:30 for rental fitting.
Everything will be loaded onto a trailer and participants will be shuttled in a van to the Farys Mill Road entrance. On this self-guided paddle, you can take your time paddling from one end to the other. Bring food, water, binoculars and camera if you like. Dress for the weather to get wet and bring a change of clothes. The deadline to register is May 15.
